and 15 minutes of vigorous physical activity, or a combination of both, each

week.

*Visiting a health care professional to receive regular checkups and preventive

screenings.

*Avoiding risky behaviors, such as smoking and not wearing a seatbelt.

*Pay attention to mental health, including getting enough sleep and managing

stress.

Women and Breast Cancer

Breast cancer affects us all. One woman out of seven will be diagnosed with the disease. She could be someone you know your cousin, your neighbor or your moms best friend. She will be one of hundreds of thousands of people fighting this disease.

Take Care of Yourself and Stay Aware Numerous studies have shown that early detection of breast cancer saves lives and increases treatment options. The decline in breast cancer deaths seen in the past few years have been attributed, in large part, to the use of regular screening mammography. So be sure to get your mammogram every year if you're 40. Thanks to early detection, the five-year survival rate for women whose cancers are diagnosed at an early stage is over 98%.
